Jeff Fifield here and if you haven't met me yet I am one of the folks that run the Cheshire County Action Pistol program. I am a longtime reader, first time poster here on the blog and hope I can be half as interesting as Jason Parker!

This summer has been a crazy one for the CCAP team and this post is way overdue.

Starting in April we had an amazing start to the season with over 110 shooters registered for the first match with 85 that made it! We built the stages all day Saturday starting in four inches of snow! By Sunday morning the snow had left and we had an awesome first match of the season with one lucky competitor leaving with a bottle of 2A Bourbon! https://2abourbon.com/

So far this season we've run 5 PCSL and 5 Steel Challenge matches with a total of 672 competitors! We still have 3 PCSL matches and 2 Steel Challenge matches to go including our big PCSL match in October supporting Aiming For Zero.

Aiming For Zero is fighting to end Veteran Suicide by fostering a supportive network through competitive shooting events. Last year we held a one day match with just over a month to plan and we managed to raise $6,000 for AFZ! This year our match is three days long and we are hoping to be closer to $20,000!

Check them out at https://aimingforzero.org/

This is where we need help, while I am sitting here writing this we have a ton of spots to fill and despite our best efforts we are struggling to get it done. We have an insane amount of raffle prizes this year including a 16" Sugar Weasel compliments of Q! https://liveqordie.com/sugar-weasel/

Matrix Arms is back this season donating their new MX-C compact carry pistol! https://www.matrixarms.com/

These are in addition to a massive amount of other raffle prizes donated by amazing 2A focused companies!

This year our Aiming For Zero match will have 10 incredible stages with a mix of unloaded starts, table starts, visual starts and much more! We have a 50 yard long stage, a 50 yard wide stage and lots of activators, props and poppers! With over $10,000 worth of prizes on the raffle table you won't want to miss it!

Our team's efforts have pushed us to new height's this season and we have partnered with The Hero Down Foundation and will be the final stop in their New England Triple Crown charity series! This series is aimed at raising funds to support Veterans, Police Officers and their families who have experienced trauma or death in the line of duty. HDF is also getting Veterans and Police Officers involved in practical shooting to expand their scope of training beyond outdated department standards. This has proven to be very effective as there are departments all over New England and beyond that are forming practical shooting teams modeled after the Manchester NH PD team. Johnny and his team have been making huge strides this year and no doubt will see explosive growth in the future!

Members of our team have competed in charity matches of all kinds from Granby Mass all the way up to Hampden Maine and everywhere in between! If you see us at a match come by and say hello!

If you haven't been to one of our matches, please come check us out. We think we have a lot to offer and put on some pretty cool matches with stages designed by the one and only Kyle Narkum!
